Sergia Adamo has defined «justice of the forgotten» a genre of narrative re-writing associated with Leonardo Sciascia’s investigative storytelling. His works are indeed characterized by the ambition of giving voice to the ‘residues of justice’ left on the margins by official versions of History. In this canon, naturally tending towards transmediality, certain True Crime podcasts can also be incorporated. For instance, in Nicola Lagioia’s La città dei vivi, the direct access to the protagonists’ voices opens new perspectives for narration, promoting a creative dimension where retelling traumatic events becomes a participatory process that can give the described trauma a possibility of catharsis.
