The essay aims to investigate Paola Masino’s collaboration with Rai radio broadcasting, analysing the archival records held by Fondo Paola Masino (Archivio del Novecento, Sapienza Università di Roma) and by Rai Teche. Starting from the considerations on mass-media written on Masino’s personal notebooks and from the radio conversations from the Forties and the Fifties, until the following interviews and the hosting of an autobiographical radio show, the analysis brings out a corpus of heterogeneous sources. The research reconsiders Masino as an active voice on the Italian cultural scene until the late Eighties and it investigates her radio experience in relation to her intellectual self-portrait.
