The conference “Slogare la voce” provided an opportunity to weave together moments from my academic journey—both distant and recent. This connection did not unfold in a linear or progressive manner but rather in a recursive fashion. At various points, my attention has been drawn to the interplay between speech and silence, between what is said, what is sayable, and what remains outside discourse. This “outside” is by no means an inert residue; rather, it belongs to the realm of forces—an attractive force, a centripetal or centrifugal impulse—that disrupts the established order in various forms and ways. This contribution traces this intellectual trajectory by engaging with key feminist thinkers—particularly Luce Irigaray, Gayatri Chakravorty Spivak, and Carol Gilligan—before moving towards more recent perspectives in the field of Environmental Humanities, which explore extralinguistic and transspecies relationships.Downloads
