Abstract

Podcasts have long been perceived – and in part still are – as a ‘new’ medium (Cfr. T. Bonini, Il nuovo podcasting, come e perché cambiano i media, «che Fare», 12 novembre 2021, https://che-fare.com/almanacco/societa/tecnologia/podcast-media-bonini/, ultima consultazione: 1° ottobre 2024), despite their origins dating back to 2004. In Italy, the starting point can be identified with Veleno (2017), hosted by Pablo Trincia and Alessia Rafanelli, which was followed by a book and a TV series. This case, by no means isolated, highlighted a bidirectional relationship between podcasting and narrative works, both fictional and non-fictional. This paper aims to investigate the transcodification process in Gianrico Carofiglio’s La disciplina di Penelope (2021) and in Morgana. Storie di ragazze che tua madre non approvrebbe (2019) by Michela Murgia and Chiara Tagliaferri.
